Beaverton Real Estate: Let’s talk oil tanks

| June 1, 2018 | 0 Comments

By Kimberly Shute

If an oil tank is found during a sweep, soil should be tested to see if there is contamination. If none is found, removing the tank is the best way to ensure no future problems. From there, you’ll file a soil report with Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality.

If you’re curious about your own home, head to www.oregon.gov/DEQ. They’ll have records of homes with decommissioned oil tanks.

If you have any questions about this or your home in general, don’t hesitate to reach out. Our goal is to help you know your home and keep it in the best condition possible so you can enjoy your sanctuary!
