Come to Beaverton’s New Year’s Eve Party! Loud at the Library
By Library Staff
What is the one place where you can dance under a disco ball, play mini-golf, drink beer and wine, nosh on some tasty snacks, play a game of Monopoly with your family, curl up in a cozy chair with a good book, and possibly witness a marriage proposal? Give up?
The Beaverton City Library, of course! If that answer surprises you, then you may not have heard about the Beaverton Library Foundation’s New Year’s Eve fundraising event – Loud in the Library.
There was something for everyone at last year’s inaugural event. It was a great success, with over 300 people attending this one-of-a-kind party in the heart of Beaverton. [Interesting quote here? E.g., One party-goer commented, “Wow, Beaverton knows how to throw a party!”
Loud in Library takes place inside the Beaverton City Library, which is converted into a multi-functional party space, with a dance floor and music provided by Doc Titus, an array of family-friendly games provided by Parties, Inc., and food and beverages provided by Uptown Market.
The party starts at 9:00 pm and continues into the New Year, which is celebrated with a balloon drop in the library’s grand staircase and sparkling wine or cider toast at the stroke of midnight.
The Beaverton Library Foundation raises funds to provide a margin of excellence for our libraries. The Foundation sponsors the Library’s annual Summer Reading Program and offers cash prizes and scholarships to children and teens.
