What started as a passion for plants and helping others create welcoming spaces has grown into a thriving local business serving the Beaverton area. Founded by Jesus Fuentes, The Plantas is a Latino-owned houseplant care and floral arrangements business built with a love for plants.

Why The Plantas? The name The Plantas reflects my roots as a Spanish-speaking Latino and my passion for plants. By combining the Spanish word plantas with my work, I hope to share a piece of my culture while creating connections through nature. The name represents community, diversity, and the belief that plants bring people together, no matter where they come from.
“Plants have a unique way of transforming a space and bringing people joy,” says Fuentes. “My goal is to help clients enjoy the beauty of nature without the stress of figuring out how to care for their plants on their own.”
As a local entrepreneur, Jesus is proud to serve the community he now calls home. Through The Plantas, he hopes to make plant care more accessible while helping homes and businesses create healthier, more inviting environments.
