Adopt a Bird: Meet Dr. Tempie, Roger & Amigo

This month, we would like to introduce you to Dr. Temperance Brennan. Dr. Tempie as we call her, is a six-year-old female cockatiel who would be happy to prescribe some love and companionship to your life!

She loves to be sung to and chatted with and enjoys hanging out on her human’s shoulder. Dr. Tempie has a preference for millet, which is an excellent treat to continue her step-up and recall training. She’s also quite happy if her human is willing to sing her a little lullaby to settle her into bed for the night!

Cockatiels are sweet, fun little parrots that make excellent companions for apartment living where noise might be a concern. Dr. Tempie doesn’t need a birdie PhD to know that your life would improve with her as part of your family!

Roger & Amigo are a sixty-year-old bonded pair of male Amazons also looking for their forever home. These two enjoy spending time with one another and are looking for a home willing to keep them company through their golden years. They love celery and apples and like to say “bye-bye” to their humans when they leave the house. Because Roger and Amigo are bonded, they tend to keep each other entertained but do enjoy chatting with their human family members and spending time outside in the summer in their travel cages.
