Adopt a Bird: Meet Poncho & Baby Blue

This month EBR would like to introduce you to Poncho. Poncho is a 40 year old blue-fronted Amazon who has a very sweet and mischievous personality. He loves teasing his humans by calling them over to his cage with a “Aw, come here” only to pretend to bite them and laugh about it afterwards! He loves to dance and sing as well as mimic a baby’s cry. Poncho may prefer women, but a male could win Poncho’s friendship through apples and sunflower seeds, as those are his favorite treat. He loves stretching out his wings when someone tells him to “Fly like an eagle”! Poncho would be a sweet and entertaining addition to anyone’s family.

Our other featured bird for the month is Baby Blue, a 20-year-old conure. Baby Blue is a charismatic, sweet boy who loves to be the center of attention. He loves to hang out on the shoulder of his chosen companion human and mimic sounds like laughter and whispers. Baby Blue enjoys taking showers with his people, too! (Some parrots love hanging out on a shower perch while their human bathes). Baby Blue just wants a human he can become best friends with and live out his golden years while being spoiled with love, attention and fruit! Conures are known for their loving disposition and clownish antics. Baby Blue may be a bit older, but that hasn’t stopped him from having fun and living his best bird life!
