Adopting a bird is adopting a lifelong friend: Exotic Bird Rescue of Oregon

Our featured birds this month included a bonded pair of seven-year-old Quaker parrots named Samantha and Lyle. These two cuties like to hang out near their humans, but aren’t too fond of being held. That doesn’t stop them from keeping their foster family entertained, and they are trained to go back to their cage after playtime. Samantha and Lyle would be perfect for a family that would be willing to work with them on step-up training or would just enjoy their company.
Baby Blue is a ten-year-old blue-headed conure who tends to prefer lady humans over men, and enjoys rides on your shoulder, head scritches and cuddles. Conures tend to be clownish, playful and loving, and Baby Blue is no exception. He loves to laugh (with you, or along with the TV), whisper in your ear, and will bring a lot of joy, love and companionship to his perfect forever home.
