Adopting a bird is like adopting a lifelong friend: Exotic Bird Rescue of Oregon

This month we’re bringing you two of our birds who have been long-term residents of our Foster program. Baby is a Quaker Parrot, a medium-sized bird, who has been delighting his foster home for just a little over two years now.

Quakers are playful birds with a lot of personality for their size, and Baby is no exception. He loves to hang out on his cage, talk, and mimic other sounds around the house. He’s fine with sitting on shoulders, but not so keen yet on trusting hands. Baby is looking for a loving forever home that will work with him on overcoming this last hurdle and to help him truly shine.

Second is Colada, a very dapper Umbrella Cockatoo in his mid-thirties. He’s been a guest with our rescue for the last six years and is always on the lookout for his forever home. Like most cockatoos, he’s playful, cuddly, full of energy, and immensely charming. He’s harness trained and loves to chew wooden toys.
