Beaverton voted a great place to live for many reasons
According to livabiilty.com, the top reasons for Beaverton’s high ratings are environment, economy, transportation, and amenities.
Our robust economy is lauded for its diversity – in all areas. We have significant large companies that help drive the local economy. These employers attract highly educated individuals from many other states and countries.
We are also blessed with an abundance of locally owned businesses that make eating, shopping, and even household chores and personal care fun and community focused. These small businesses are owned and operated by a broad network of entrepreneurs – including local natives, recent transplants, and immigrants from all corners of the globe.
This network of entrepreneurs is supported by an impressive list of government agencies and community-based organizations (CBO’s). Our team at the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce, and our IMPACT Beaverton program, are honored to be a part of this ecosystem of support.
Of course, everything is not perfect. We, as a community, have many individuals, families, and neighborhoods that face challenges. Addressing these challenges requires collaborative efforts, and these efforts are often guided by nonprofit organizations.
And we have good news. Beaverton has secured funding to support the launch and growth of a program to directly support our nonprofit community. The Non-Profit Incubator of Beaverton (NPIB) has been established with the following mission: NPIB’s mission is to help build the capacity and community impact of nonprofit organizations delivering services in Beaverton.
We do this through educational programming, consultation, and on-site services with a strong focus on creating opportunities for historically underserved and disadvantaged communities.
The Non-Profit Incubator of Beaverton is a program of the Oregon Startup Center, and will begin offering programs in January 2024. Our programs and services will be guided by the following Vision:
A vibrant and diverse network of nonprofit organizations working collaboratively to enhance quality of life and ensure equitable access to programs and services.
Collaboration. Capacity. Impact. If you would like to learn more, and get involved, please contact us at email@example.com.
We look forward to working together in making Beaverton an even better place to live for everyone. More exciting announcements in the weeks and months to come!
Thank you all for your contributions to making Beaverton a great place to live.
