Best of the Best in Beaverton Awards

On May 15, 2026, 325 Beaverton Area Community members gathered at Embassy Suites to celebrate the Best of the Best in Beaverton! There were eleven award categories, there were nominations and then voting in ten categories and then winners were announced academy award style!! Additionally, The Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to award nine post high school scholarships. These scholarships were awarded to area youth that had graduated this year or in the past two years for any type of post high school education.

Below are the scholarship recipients.

Amara Deckert is a 2025 Graduate of Beaverton High School. She looks forward to studying political science and international relations.
Sophia Sakaino is a 2025 Graduate of Southridge High School. She looks forward to studying public policy and political science.
Chelsea Teh is a 2025 Graduate of Sunset High School. She looks forward to a double major in Computer Science and Economics at The University of Chicago.
Keerthana Tera is a 2025 Graduate of Sunset High School. She looks forward to attending the University of Oregon.
Krrish Ravuri is a 2025 Graduate of Sunset High School. Krrish looks forward to studying Biomedical Engineering at Duke, medical school, orthopedic surgery residency and fellowship. His goal is to be an orthopedic and bionics surgeon designing next-generation prosthetic devices/aids for patients at cost-affordable rates.
Hailey Youn is a 2025 Graduate of Sunset High School. She looks forward to attending UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music for Music Performance, double majoring in Psychology and Music.
Brayden Sever is a 2025 Graduate of the International School of Beaverton. He looks forward to attending school to study molecular biology and biochemistry.
Kayla Severson is a 2025 Graduate of Westview High School. She looks forward to attending Temple University in Japan with a focus on political science and international affairs.
Adelfo Herrera Espinoza is a 2025 Graduate of Beaverton High School. He looks forward to double majoring in Computer and Electrical Engineering at Oregon State University.
Daniel Ahranjani is a 2025 Graduate of Tigard High School. He looks forward to majoring in neuroscience on the pre-med track, with a minor in public health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He plans to attend medical school with aspirations to become a surgeon.
