Breaking ground on Beaverton High School

The Beaverton School District held a groundbreaking ceremony a couple weeks ago to celebrate breaking ground on the new Beaverton High School.

The event signifies the ceremonial start of construction on the $253 million state-of-the-art learning facility, according to the Beaverton School District.

The new school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2026, during construction students will continue to attend the existing school.

The groundbreaking will feature remarks from the district superintendent, school board president, principal of Beaverton High School, the president of Beaverton High School’s associated student body, and the mayor of Beaverton.

The project was made possible by a $723 million bond that was approved in May 2022.

In addition to the new Beaverton High School, Raleigh Hills Elementary School is also being rebuilt, with construction beginning this summer.
