Combat Senior Isolation & Find Hope, Now Accepting Referrals!
Oregon Senior Peer Outreach (OSPO), a program of Community Counseling Solutions (CCS), is excited to announce it is accepting new referrals for 2025! OSPO offers free weekly peer support calls to help combat loneliness and social isolation among seniors (55+) in Washington County.
Social isolation is a growing public health concern, especially for older adults. Studies have shown that social isolation can significantly increase the risk of health problems such as heart disease, stroke, dementia, and depression.
OSPO’s Program: Find Connection & Support
OSPO connects lonely seniors with friendly and compassionate peer supporters who can provide a listening ear and a sense of connection. These certified peer supporters are trained to offer emotional support, companionship, and a safe space for seniors to share their thoughts and feelings. OSPO’s peer supporters come from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, allowing them to connect and mutually support a wide range of seniors.
