Direct connections from Portland to domestic & International locations: New Flights and Flexible Deals

I have had several clients call to ask about new deals available in 2026. Here is what I share with them.

Residents who live in the Pacific Northwest now have increased options to new international and regional destinations. Frontier Airlines has increased the number of flights between Seattle (SEA) and Portland (PDX). Seaport Airlines, which started in May of last year, continues to provide regional flights from Portland to Seattle and back. You need to know, however, that the flight is between the commercial side of PDX and Boring Field, WA. If you have a connecting flight at SEA, you will need to take a taxi, Uber or Lyft from the field to SEA. If Europe is of interest, Delta has increased their direct flights from PDX to either Amsterdam (AMS) or London (LHR).

Direct Connections from Portland Has Expanded: For those looking to explore the rugged beauty of the last frontier in Alaska (or maybe dazzling city of Tokyo, Japan), Alaska Airlines continues to solidify its direct service to those airports (ANC and TYO). Flights from both Portland International Airport (PDX) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) offer multiple daily non-stop connections to Anchorage year-round, making access to Alaska straightforward for both leisure and business travelers.

While Alaska Airlines consistently offers the most routes North, South and West, from PDX, all of the other carriers are increasing their frequencies of non-stop service from the Pacific Northwest, making daily flights to you.

Understanding the Travel Deal Season: If a land tour, or a Cruise, is in your plans for 2026/2027, then now is the time to book it. Some carriers are offering anywhere from 30% to 80% off specials between now and until February 1, 2026.  Most of these special offerings are only available through a travel advisor.
