Fly Chai makes chai the right way… give them a try!

In the heart of Beaverton, Fly Chai is redefining what a neighborhood café can be. More than a place to grab a drink, Fly Chai is built as a modern community space rooted in heritage, wellness, and connection—designed intentionally for the people who live, work, and gather here.

Founded locally and operated with deep respect for tradition, Fly Chai centers around one simple idea: chai is not fast fuel. It is a ritual. A pause. A shared moment. Fly Chai was founded by Neil Bhatnagar, a longtime hospitality and operations leader who chose Beaverton as the home for a concept centered on community, culture, and care. Drawing from personal heritage and decades of experience in food service leadership, the vision was simple: create a space where people slow down, connect, and feel welcome.

Chai Made the Right Way: At Fly Chai, everything begins with real ingredients and real process. Chai is brewed daily from Assam tea, combined with house-made masala blends and naturally sweetened with gud (unrefined jaggery). Each drink is built to order, whisked, strained, and served with care—no powders, no shortcuts, no artificial syrups.

Guests can choose from signature offerings like classic masala chai, golden turmeric chai, or bold fire blends, along with matcha, coffee, and seasonal specialties. Drinks are served in traditional clay cups or shared teapots, encouraging guests to slow down, sit, and connect.

This commitment to authenticity is not nostalgia—it is intention. Fly Chai was designed to bring something grounding and genuine into an increasingly rushed world.

A Space Designed for Community: Fly Chai was created as a welcoming third space for Beaverton. The café regularly hosts families, students, creatives, professionals, and neighbors looking for a place to gather without pressure. The atmosphere is warm, inclusive, and culturally expressive—blending modern design with heritage influences.

The upstairs lounge and flexible layout allow the space to transform easily for community use. Fly Chai actively opens its doors to local groups, pop-ups, small events, creative meetups, and cultural celebrations. The goal is simple: be a place where people feel comfortable staying, talking, and returning.

Wellness Without Pretense: Wellness at Fly Chai is practical, not performative. Chai and its ingredients—ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric—have been used for generations to support digestion, balance energy, and reduce inflammation. Fly Chai highlights these benefits without overstatement, focusing on how people actually feel after drinking it: warm, calm, and satisfied.

Unlike high-stimulation coffee culture, Fly Chai offers an alternative rhythm—gentle energy, shared experiences, and intentional hospitality.

Supporting Local, Growing Local: Fly Chai is proudly locally owned and operated. The business employs local staff, partners with local vendors whenever possible, and reinvests into the surrounding community through events, collaborations, and outreach.

Retail offerings such as house masala blends, clay cups, and chai kits allow customers to take the ritual home while supporting a small Beaverton-based business. Fly Chai also participates in community initiatives and continues to explore ways to serve beyond the café walls.

A New Kind of Neighborhood Anchor: Fly Chai represents a growing movement toward businesses that are culturally rooted, people-first, and community-driven. It is not built to rush customers in and out. It is built to give Beaverton a place to land.

Whether someone stops in for a quick cup or spends an afternoon sharing a teapot with friends, Fly Chai exists to make people feel welcome, grounded, and connected.

In a city known for its diversity, creativity, and sense of community, Fly Chai is proud to be part of Beaverton’s story—and excited to continue growing alongside it.
