July is a great month for having fun. It also presents plenty of joyful ways to support local businesses and artists.
Here is a sampling of wonderful community events this July. They are all family friendly opportunities to meet people, learn something new, and support your neighbors.
The 4th of July Concert & Celebration – held at Veterans Memorial Park. Great music, great fun, and a safe way to celebrate our freedom and independence.
The Ten Tiny Dances event at The Beaverton Round on Saturday, July 8. Show your rousing support for all sorts of dancers in this wonderful Beaverton tradition. Plenty of food and other activities are available for everyone in the family.
The La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival July 15-16 in neighboring downtown Hillsboro. Watch amazing professional artists create breathtaking images along Main Street, with lots of activities for kids of all ages. Plus, many local food and craft vendors to support. Presented by local arts organization Tualatin Valley Creates. Take the train to ease the pain and help our planet.
The Beaverton Night Market on Saturday, July 22. This premier Beaverton event is back and strong as ever. Come enjoy the amazing diversity of our community through food, music, crafts, and delightful interactions with others. Truly a joyous event for everyone.
The Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce Community Expo at City Park on Saturday, July 29. Held in tandem with the exceptional Beaverton Farmer’s Market. Lots of great activities for the kids, and a great way to network and learn more about our vibrant business community.
The Community Picnic at Wonderland Park in the Vose Neighborhood on Sunday, July 30. This free event is all about community building and supporting each other. Great activities for kids of all ages, plus food and entertainment and more! Bring a blanket and/or some chairs to relax and meet some new friends.
Clearly there is no shortage of ways to have fun in the sun in July in and around Beaverton.
