Imagine the Fun this Summer with THPRD
Summer Registration Opening Soon: Mark your calendars …. Summer registration opens on Saturday, April 27. THPRD is offering more than 400 camps for families to choose from. We offer full-day and half-day options for all ages. Each year we work to expand our camp offerings. So, no matter what your kids enjoy from sports, travel & adventure, to the arts, we have options available. For families with children experiencing disability, please check out Camp Rivendale at Jenkins Estate, a unique offering specialized in serving youth and young adults with disabilities.
Summer Events Will Kick Off in June: It will be a busy summer with lots of options for free concerts and activities in parks throughout the district. Visit www.thprd.org/events for a complete list of summer activities for all ages.
Imagine What Parks & Recreation in the Future Will Be: Ever dreamed about what’s next for parks and recreation? Have great ideas about new sports, park design, or ways to play that you want from your park district? Want to help imagine what the future holds? Consider volunteering to join THPRD Visioning Committee launching this May. We are looking for a core group of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about parks and recreation and want to help collect input from community members about their ides. Learn more on our web site at www.thprd.org.
Meet the Candidates for the THPRD Board of Directors: On Saturday, April 27, from 1 to 3 pm, join us for a Voters’ Forum at the Elsie Stuhr Center (5550 SW Hall Blvd). There are four positions for the THPRD Board that will be on the May ballot and all of the candidates have been invited to participate in this Voters’ Forum hosted by the Friends of the Stuhr Center.
