Interview with Robynne P. Job coach pro extraordinaire

#BeavertonAtWork

This month we are changing things up to feature a team member of Dirkse Counseling and Consulting who brings expertise, skills, and a whole lot of heart! Meet Robynne Peterson, Job Coach Professional Extraordinaire!

How long have you been a job coach? I’ve enjoyed coaching for over 8 years now.

For you, what makes Job Coaching a rewarding career? I love helping other people have productive and meaningful lives.

What are strategies for helping a client be successful? Taking the clients skills, ambition, learning styles in mind then building on them to bring out their talents.

Are there any challenges you experience? I don’t see challenges. I think of an opportunity to be creative and love to problem solve.

What advice do you have for someone who is interested in being a job coach? It is a very engaging career with the purpose of helping other people be successful and that is very rewarding and never dull!

What else would you like to share? I am so glad I found such a rewarding purpose to my life. I have loved being a job coach to mentor people in having meaningful lives. I always wanted my son to have a good job coach and I am glad I chose to be one. I wish I would have known about Dirkse Counseling and Consulting when he needed a job coach. My son had a brain injury, so I know how important it is for the family that the client grows in their independence to have a job in the community. It’s the kind of career you can have that you get to share in other people’s success to be more independent! I feel so blessed to work for such a great company like Dirkse that everyone I work with is amazing and shares the same goals!

Thank you, Robynne – Dirkse Counseling and Consulting is so blessed too!
