ISing Choir under the direction of Stephen Galván presents ISing at the Movies.

Back by popular demand, this concert series features choral pieces from popular movies such as:

  • The Scarlet Letter
  • Excalibur
  • The Phantom Menace
  • The Greatest Showman
  • And Moana, to name a few

The choir will be accompanied by the Big Horn Brass Octet as well as Dan Miller on organ, lending an orchestral feel to the music. Some of these well-loved pieces are adaptations of music written for strings, or as a cantata, before they were used in film scores. The varied program in this concert promises to move, delight, and bring smiles to audiences of all ages.

Concerts will be held on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at 7:30pm as well as on Sunday, April 28 at 3:00pm, all at Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ in Beaverton. Tickets will be $14 to cover facilities and performance cost for the concerts.

The choir will be accepting separate donations (cash, check or credit card) in support of ISing’s ongoing mission to share innovative and exceptional choral music while supporting local non-profit organizations.

To date, the choir has raised $407,533 for worthy causes. ISing performs the finest that choral music has to offer and increases public awareness of non-profits that are making a positive impact in our community.

These concerts are supported by grants from the City of Beaverton Arts Program, the Cultural Coalition of Washington County, and the Oregon Cultural Trust.
