It’s beginning to feel a lot like… Winter?

#MessageFromTheMayor
Election season has ended, and we are flying into the end-of-the-year hustle. This is a busy time of year for most of us, especially those who have significant holidays that are celebrated with friends and family.
Let’s remember three things as we move through these busy days:
Shop Small and Shop Local.
Our Community is home to an amazing array of small businesses, artisans, and restaurants. When you support our Beaverton-based businesses, that impact is felt directly and locally.
Assume Good Intent.
Beaverton is a compassionate community. In this season of hustle, we can all benefit from taking a deep breath and extending kindness to our neighbors.
Annual Tree Lighting
I’m looking forward to seeing you out at the Annual Tree Lighting this year! Join me on December 3rd at Beaverton City Park as we light up the season at 7 pm. And come early for the Beaverton High School Holiday Bazaar (2pm – 8pm in the parking lot adjacent to the library and fountain on 5th street where the Farmers Market usually operates).
Enjoy the holidays!
Lacey Beaty was elected Mayor of Beaverton in 2020. Prior to serving as Mayor, she served for six years on the Beaverton City Council.
