Lions and tigers and beers: ZooBrew is back!

Time to raise a glass to wildlife: ZooBrew is back! The Oregon Zoo’s annual tasting festival returns June 5–6, with offerings from dozens of Northwest breweries and cideries — plus keeper chats, lawn games and live music from the Too Loose Cajun Zydeco Band.

“It’s a perfect start to the summer season,” said Jamie Inglis, zoo events director. “Sample craft beers, enjoy great tunes and support a great cause. Proceeds benefit our efforts in caring for animals and saving species.”

Tickets must be reserved in advance at oregonzoo.org/brew. ZooBrew typically sells out, Inglis says, so purchasing tickets early is recommended.

Admission includes a souvenir glass and 10 tasting tickets. Food will be available for purchase from some of the area’s favorite food carts as well as zoo dining spots. Festivities begin at 6 p.m., and taps will be pouring until 9:30 p.m.

ZooBrew is exclusive to guests 21 and over. Valid photo ID must be presented for entry. The zoo will close at 4:30 p.m. both days in preparation for ZooBrew.
