Meet Punkin, 14yo, New Forever Foster member

The Pacific Pug Rescue has a new member of the Forever Fosters! Punkin is a 14-year old gal that came in when her elderly owners could no longer care for her. She was well loved, but badly needed to get caught up on her vet care.

She had much needed dental work and at that time, we found she is in early kidney failure as well as has high blood pressure.

Someone however forgot to tell Punkin that you are supposed to slow down as you age… this girl is active, happy and busy! She is in a wonderful foster home and has two PPR alumni to hang out with.

What is a Furever Foster?

On occasion, some of our pugs come into the rescue with terminal illnesses, chronic medical conditions, or special emotional needs. While these dogs may be considered unadoptable due to their complex conditions, they are able to enjoy a good quality of life.

For these special dogs, our foster families commit to providing a lifetime of love and care for the time they have left. Through our Furever Foster program, Pacific Pug Rescue provides food, supplies and medical treatment for each of these dogs. This program is entirely funded by donations and sponsorships, and we rely on the generosity of our supporters to help these sweet Furever Fosters live full, happy, and comfortable lives.
