These groups are made up of engaged residents who bring fresh ideas, thoughtful perspectives, and action to local initiatives. Applications are due by October 16, and terms begin in January, 2026.

Beaverton is divided into 11 Neighborhood Association Committees (NACs). These are not HOAs — everyone who lives, rents, owns a business, or represents a nonprofit within a NAC is automatically a member. You can get involved in whatever way works for you: attend activities, volunteer, share input or serve on the board. Your voice matters, and your presence helps make our neighborhoods even better!

Listen in on City Council Learning Session: Beaverton, like many cities in our region, is facing a tough financial reality: operating costs are rising faster than revenues. At our upcoming Sep. 9 City Council Learning Session, we’ll take a closer look at the progress made on the city’s Fiscal Sustainability Plan—and what’s next, including a look ahead at options to address a projected General Fund deficit next year. Community members are welcome to listen in. This is the start of a longer conversation, and no final decisions will be made at this work session. Stay in the know. Transportation Utility Fee Work Session is Sep. 16: We know roads are important to you and our community. When you travel on our roads and streets, you need to know that our transportation infrastructure can get you where you need to go safely, no matter your form of travel. That is important to us, too. The truth is, construction materials and related expenses have increased more than 80 percent since 2020, while gas tax revenue has only increased by seven percent. To help cover these cost increases and safely maintain Beaverton’s streets, we are considering a Transportation Utility Fee. No decisions have been made yet, and we are putting together a work session to discuss next steps. The Transportation Utility Fee work session will be held during a City Council meeting beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sep.16. Beaverton City Library Main Celebrates 25 Years at 5th and Hall: You’re invited to a grand celebration! Sign a giant “birthday” card, take a photo with Billie the Beaver, and enjoy a mini cupcake (while supplies last) on Wednesday, Sep. 10, at the main library. From Saturday, Sep. 6 to Sunday, Sep. 14, we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the main library on 5th Street and Hall Blvd! On Sep. 10, 2000, the new Beaverton City Library building on the northeast corner of 5th and Hall opened with a grand celebration. Join us in honoring this milestone with special programming, scavenger hunts, crafts, historic photos, and more.

New Video Promoting Library Services Coming Soon: Stay tuned for a new video highlighting all the great services available at your library. The video will also feature scenes from the upcoming 25th anniversary of the main library’s move to its current location at SW 5th Street and SW Hall Boulevard. Can’t wait? Welcoming Week is September 12-21: Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates community efforts to create inclusive spaces for everyone, including immigrants. Launched in 2012 by Welcoming America and its members, Welcoming Week offers individuals and organizations a chance to highlight their values through events and initiatives that promote connections, collaboration, and a sense of belonging for all. The Beaverton Celebration Parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sep. 6, and features floats, marching bands, community groups, and local businesses. This year’s theme is Wild Wonders, highlighting the amazing animals and plant life that make our world unique.

The parade will begin at SW Griffith Drive and travel westbound on SW 5th Street, then turn southbound on SW Menlo Drive and end at SW Menlo Drive and SW Berthold Street.

Beaverton Half Marathon: Then, adventure through scenic roads and trails throughout Beaverton at the city-supported Beaverton Half Marathon from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sep. 13, beginning at Portland Running Company on Nimbus Avenue.
