PGE Update: Summer fun is waiting for you at PGE parks & campgrounds

By PGE Staff

Question: Why does PGE own parks? Where are they located, and what activities can I do there?

Answer: We’re committed to being good environmental stewards of the rivers and lands adjacent to our hydroelectric plants.

We offer parks and campgrounds to help fulfill that responsibility and give back to the community.

We have one park along the Columbia River, six parks along the Clackamas River and up at Mount Hood, and several more spots over in Central Oregon. They provide you terrific opportunities to get outside, get active and enjoy the beauty of Oregon.

Activities, which vary by park, include:

  • Camping
  • Fishing
  • Hiking
  • Boating and paddling – including rentals at some locations
  • Picnicking – including reservable group
  • picnic sites
  • Wildlife viewing
  • Playgrounds, ball fields, disc golf and
  • swimming
  • Junior Ranger program
