Summer Break: A great time for everyone to grow their chess skills (2 one-hour lesson discount)

Do you know a young chess player who would like to improve his or her chess playing skills? Maybe they want to beat their dad, or be the best in their school.

Would you like to help them achieve this and get a great summer break deal? For new students I’m offering a holiday special of two one-hour lessons for $50.

Chess teaches players many life lessons.

  • How to win
  • How to lose
  • How to make decisions
  • How to solve problems and to not give up

These are just a few of the benefits of learning to play chess well. Chess is a game that can be played for a lifetime and passed on to their children and grandchildren. From 8 to 80 you are never too young nor too old to learn, improve and play chess. Some players want to play in tournaments and win trophies and cash prizes. But even for non-tournament players, it’s more satisfying to play when your skills are sharp.

Everyone can get better!

For over 40 years, I have been teaching chess to boys and girls. Some have become chess masters and play on college chess teams, winning both scholastic and adult chess tournaments. I have started both community and school chess clubs.

Summer break gives me the time and opportunity to work with more kids and meet new ones. Maybe your child could be one of them! If you have any questions or would like to talk with other parents of children I coach, just contact me below.

I’m happy to help.

Why learn chess? Simple: It’s a great mental workout that helps children perform well in the classroom. Chess is a logical game where kids have to plan ahead and adjust to new situations. But most of all, it’s fun!
