Tap Into the Season: Celebrate the Rich Flavors of Craft Beer & Cider

February is Oregon’s Craft Beer Month, which puts the spotlight on craft breweries throughout the state. Tap Season also returns to Tualatin Valley this month. Launched by Explore Tualatin Valley last year, Tap Season is a celebration of local craft beers and ciders and the taprooms that serve them.

With dozens of breweries and taprooms throughout Tualatin Valley, we’re highlighting some of the region’s places to have a pint (and maybe play a game or two).

Brews and Games for Adults

Stickmen Brewing’s Tualatin Beer Hall (stickmenbeer.com) holds regular axe-throwing events with the Celtic Axe Throwers. This authentic and professional experience uses wooden-handled axes and targets that reduce bounce back. While there, don’t miss out on Stickmen’s wide selection of craft beer and delicious wood-fired pizza.

Nebulous Taproom (nebuloustaproom.com) is a fun taphouse that combines a festive atmosphere with a rotating selection of craft beers. The taproom’s busy slate of events, including trivia and bingo, karaoke and live music, creates an inviting space to enjoy good company and great brews.

The 649 (649bar.com) in Aloha has Jeopardy-style trivia on Tuesdays, as well as a fun selection of games to play with friends. This cocktail bar also features a rotating selection of draft brews from local and regional breweries.

Kid-Friendly Breweries

Steeplejack Brewing Co. is a family-friendly brewery and pizza pub, which features dedicated game areas where guests can enjoy lively matches of foosball and cornhole. Steeplejack also hosts a monthly paint-and-sip night, inviting guests to unleash their creativity while savoring a refreshing brew.

Breakside Brewery welcomes kids (and pets) at its Beaverton location, complete with a spacious outdoor area perfect for letting little ones run around and explore while their furry friends enjoy some fresh air. Complementing the brewery’s craft beers, the venue features a diverse five-cart food pod, offering a variety of delicious dining options that cater to different tastes.

Binary Brewing Co., in downtown Beaverton, is a kid-friendly brewery where the pinball machines are waiting to be played, and families can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere along with a selection of craft beers and burgers from MidCity SmashedBurger.
