Thank you from the market master: The Winter Market begins in February
To say that this has been a challenging year for everyone is an understatement. Nothing in my 25 years of managing this market could have prepared me for the demands of operating during a pandemic. It is with deep gratitude that I thank all of our small farms and businesses who constantly had to re-think the way they conducted business as the pandemic evolved.
Of course, none of those businesses would have survived without you, our loyal customers. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that we would have pedestrian customers walking alongside customers in cars driving through the market. Being the good sports that you are, you made it work. Week after crazy week you came to support the market, complying with one-way aisles, social distancing and mask wearing and we are deeply grateful.
We would also like to give a shout out to all of the essential workers that showed up each week to set up tents, build displays, work in booths, control traffic, enforce social distancing and make market commerce possible.
Our 2021 Season opens on February 6th. It is our deepest wish that by that time a COVID-19 vaccine will be well on its way to protecting people from the worst of the virus and that at some point next year we might look forward to bringing back all of the social amenities we had to sacrifice in 2020 such as live entertainment, on-site dining, doggy daycare and our Market Sprouts Kid’s Club.
Until then we wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season, and may 2021 be better and brighter for everyone!
See you at the Market!
