Looking for your next summer adventure? Do you want a job that is active and allows you to spend time outdoors? Look no further than THPRD! We need to hire dozens of people who are interested in public service, share our values around diversity, equity, and inclusion, and believe in being part of an organization centered on ensuring a sense of belonging for everyone in our parks, trails, centers, and natural areas.
Specifically, we have openings for:
- Instructors (sports, fitness, aquatics, arts, dance, gymnastics, & more)
- After School Program (THRIVE) positions
- Park maintenance
- Inclusion Assistants
- Preschool Assistants

Fall Native Plant Sale Still Underway
The Tualatin Hills Nature Center is hosting the Fall Native Plant Sale in partnership with Sparrowhawk Native Plants. Thousands of habitat friendly native plants are available. New this year, people can sign up online and order plants beginning Sunday, August 15 at www.sparrowhawknativeplants.com.
Be sure to complete your order by Wednesday, September 15. You will be able to select the date and time you want to pick up your plants on October 8 or 9 when you sign up.
Afterschool Programs Available
THPRD offers the THRIVE program to keep kids safe, active, and engaged in fun activities after school. Activities include: STEAM, homework assistance, physical activity, and play/free time. THRIVE programs are offered at:
- Cedar Hills Recreation Center;
- Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center;
- Garden Home Recreation Center;
- and the Tualatin Hills Athletic Center.
