This holiday season, treasure the moments that bring you joy

As we approach the holiday season, it’s natural to pause and reflect on the year that has passed. Was it a year that felt fast or slow? Filled with activity or moments of calm? Did it bring significant transitions or a gradual sense of change? Most likely, it was a mix of all these experiences.

This year, as I helped clients downsize and sell their homes, I was honored to walk alongside them during deeply personal journeys. The process of sorting through possessions and deciding what to keep or release often becomes a profound and emotional experience.

Leaving a home and neighborhood after decades of memories adds yet another layer of change, requiring strength—both physical and emotional. Being part of these journeys has deepened my appreciation for the bonds formed during such transitions.

Listening to my clients’ stories, hearing about the legacies they’ve built, and seeing the significance of a life well-lived are humbling reminders of what truly matters. It’s not the accumulation of possessions, but the moments, relationships, and memories that bring meaning to our lives.

After their transition, I witnessed the passing of two remarkable individuals. The phrase “life is too short” resonates deeply when we face the loss of someone we care about.

As we celebrate the holiday season, I encourage you to treasure the moments that bring joy to your heart and light to your face. Let’s embrace the time we have with gratitude and cherish the connections that make life meaningful.
