Fall Registration opens August 8. Register online!

THPRD Board Vacancy – There is a vacancy on the THPRD Board due to Miles Palacios being appointed to the Metro Council. The THPRD Board will be selecting an applicant to serve his remaining term which ends in June 2027. Learn more online.

Safety Services Extended Hours: expanding to 7 am – 11:30 pm. If you need their assistance, please call 971-246-0169 to report hazards, vandalism, or other safety concerns.

Pickleball Facility Construction: Crews broke ground last month to replace the Hardin Stadium Court with 12 dedicated pickleball courts at the HMT Campus.

Volunteer to Support TriTogether Triathlon for All-Abilities on August 15: This is a great opportunity to volunteer with a group of friends and family to support participants who are living with disabilities. Volunteers are encouraged to make signs to cheer participants on. Sign up to volunteer online.

New Playground Coming to Bonny Slope Park: THPRD is enhancing connections to nature by replacing the existing playground with a new, nature‑themed play experience. Enjoy a night out and join us at Bonny Slope Park on Aug. 4, 5:30 – 7:30 pm to select the new playground design

Bridging Creativity Together for Westside Trail Bridge: Join us for an all ages, hands-on Community Design Workshop to help shape the permanent art features planned for the new pedestrian Westside Trail Hwy 26 bridge. Workshop will be held at Pioneer Park, Wednesday, Aug. 26, 5:30 – 7:30 pm

Waterhouse Trail: THPRD completed asphalt repairs along two sections of the Waterhouse Trail. Sections include from Walker Road to Willow Creek and Laidlaw Rd to Rock Creek Trail.

Fall Adult and Youth Volleyball: In August our volleyball registration will open for adult and youth leagues. The adult league has been competitive and has grown to a maximum capacity with multiple divisions

Cedar Hills Rec Center Updates: Hot Dog Wednesday | Summer Send-Off: Wednesday, Aug. 5, 5 – 7 pm.

Conestoga Rec & Aquatic Center Updates:

Big Truck Day: Aug. 1, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm. Come discover the excitement of big trucks and heavy machinery at our family-friendly event.
Summer Theme Nights: Aug. 14, 6 – 8:30 pm: Spidey & Friends: : Swing into action, where heroic fun and splashing adventures await

Elsie Stuhr Center Updates:

Summer Sock Hop Dance: Put on your poodle skirt or leather jacket and dance to timeless ‘50s hits during this rockin’ afternoon of music and fun. Aug. 21, 2 pm.
Wellness Presentation: Understanding Advance Directives for Dementia: Learn about advance care planning and end-of-life decision making with a focus on dementia. Aug. 27, 11 am.

TR Summer Solstice Dance: Aug. 31, 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Dance, laugh, and soak up the longest day of the year with a night of dancing, music, and good times. Our Therapeutic Recreation (TR) programs are intended for teens and adults (16+) who experience disabilities
Free Rec Mobile Camp: spots still open for three weeks in Aug., M-F, 9 am – 4 pm. This is camp for children 6-10yrs living in low-income housing, qualify for THPRD scholarships or are in houseless status. Crafts, sports, games, science, art, and more. Call 503-629-6341 for an application
