THPRD News & Updates for December, 2025

Winter Registration opens on Saturday, Dec. 6 for in-district patrons and on Monday, Dec. 8 for out-of-district patrons. Register online.

NEW THPRD Website will be getting a fresh look. Look for the district’s new website to go live in late December.

Greenway Park Update: The initial phase of the at-grade crossing on Scholls Ferry Rd. has been completed. New sidewalk ramps and a median were installed in October.

Holiday Bazaar at Stuhr Center: On Dec. 5, join us from 9 am to 2 pm and browse a variety of handcrafted gifts, decor, and treats from local vendors, perfect for holiday shopping. Invite your friends to stop by and enjoy the festive atmosphere while supporting our community.

Letters to Santa: We’ve made special arrangements for THPRD facilities to be drop-off sites for letters to Santa Claus! Drop off letters in the Santa Mailboxes now through mid-December and children will hear back from our jolly friend in red!

Tualatin Hills Athletic Center Updates:

Joyous Kwanzaa Celebration 2025 12/27, 5pm-8pm.
Youth Basketball Jamboree 12/13 8 am – 3 pm.

Cedar Hills Rec Center Updates:

Adult Cooking Night Out ~ Holiday Desserts: Friday, Dec. 5, 6 – 8:30 pm.
Winter Break Camps: Dec. 22 – 23, 26, 29 – 30 & Jan. 1, 7:30 am – 6 pm.

Conestoga Rec & Aquatic Center Updates:

Indoor Play Park: M/W/F 9:30 – 11:30 am. Indoor Playpark is back! Stay dry throughout the rainy season and and check out our updated toys.
Dive-in Movies: Fridays, Dec. 5 and 19, 6 – 8:30 pm. We’re celebrating 70 years of THPRD with our “Through the Decades” series of Dive-in Movies!
Sensory Santa: Saturday and Sunday, Dec 13-14, 10 am-5 pm. This FREE event provides families with children who have sensory needs an opportunity to meet Santa.
Kids Night Out – Aurora Explorers: Sunday, Dec. 21, 4:45 – 7:45 pm. Activities include swimming, crafts, games, and a pizza dinner.
Winter Break Camps: Various days and times, Dec. 22 – Jan. 3. Full and half-day camps available while school is out.

Garden Home Rec Center Updates:

Winter Break Art Camps: Dec. 22, 23, 29, 30 9:30 am – 1 pm: Come join our single day mini art camps.
Craft the Season Workshops: Tuesdays in December for ages 7 – 10 yrs: Celebrate the magic of each season with these fun, hands-on workshops!
Cozy & Crafty Family work shops: Mondays in December age 7 – Adult: Patrons will create ornaments, bath salts, greeting cards, holiday treats & more.
Winter Break Camps for Kids: While the kids are out of school join us each day for fun! 7:30 am – 6 pm, we’ll play games, sports, arts and crafts, and more.

Tualatin Hills Nature Center Updates:

Winter Break Nature Camps: Let your kids spend their school day off in nature! Full day camps for 7–10 year-olds, and half-day camps for 4–6 or 6–9 year-olds.
Come get cozy with us at the Nature Center with new drop-in programs! Nature-Inspired Fiber Arts Circle every third Friday or Indoor Nature Play Park on alternating Saturdays.
