THPRD Advisory or Budget Committee: Apply online by Oct 19 to join either committee, participate in discussions and provide broad feedback on district offerings.

Coach Youth Fall Sports: Coaches are needed to assist with cross country and volleyball, as well as basketball later this fall. Apply online.

Halloween Events:

Halloween Silly Walk- FREE: Sun. Oct. 18 ∙ 3 – 5:30 pm. Conestoga Rec Center. Trick-or-treat throughout the parking lot, enjoy a DJ dance party, and character meet-and greets.
Pumpkin Bob: Sat. Oct. 24 ∙ 12:30 – 2:30 pm or 4:30 6:30 pm. at Harman Swim Center. Admission includes open swim, snacks, activities, and a pumpkin to take home.
Therapeutic Rec Halloween Dance: Mon. Oct. 26 ∙ 6:30 pm. Garden Home Rec Center. Dress in costume and hit the dance floor. (TR) programs are for teens/adults who experience disabilities.
Halloween Party: Fri. Oct. 30 ∙ 2 – 4 pm. Elsie Stuhr Center. Dance & costume party, live band, treats and awards for best costume.

Walk-tober: Join us at the Athletic Center’s indoor walking track, starting in October, where staff will help track your accumulating milage as you walk to different destinations in Oregon.

Fall Festival at Cedar Hills Rec Center: Sat. Oct. 31, from 11 am – 2 pm. Bring your family for games, crafts, a sensory room, pumpkin painting, a silly science room, an obstacle course, spooky treats, and more!

Diwali Bazaar: Sat., Oct. 24, 12 – 7 pm. Conestoga Rec & Aquatic Center. Celebrate Diwali with a vibrant marketplace from NW vendors. Enjoy food, performances, and crafts. FREE

Indigenous Peoples Day Three Sisters Seed Giveaway: Stop by Garden Home Recreation center starting Oct. 12 until supplies last, to pick up your free packet of seeds and celebrate and learn about Indigenous Peoples Day.

Women-Only Swim continues at Beaverton Swim Center! Enjoy free open swim from 11 am – 2 pm in a welcoming women-only environment Oct. 11 & 25 • Nov. 8 & 22 • Dec. 6 & 20

Bonny Slope Park: Thursday, Oct. 8, 5 – 6:30 pm. THPRD replacing the existing playground with a new, nature themed play experience. Enjoy a night out and help us select the new playground design.

Glow in the Dark Pickleball – On Oct. 9 and 10 Babette Horenstein Tennis Center. Get ready to light up the court—literally! Join us for Glow-in-the-Dark Pickleball. Wear your bright whites and neon gear and we’ll provide the rest- perfect for players of skill levels.

Monster Smash Pickleball Tournament – THPRD’s first pickleball tournament is happening October 23 – 25. Players of all levels welcome to come and compete locally. Register at www.pickleballtournaments.com
