70th Anniversary Community Mural: As part of THPRD’s Talking Wall public art series, THPRD is planning a community mural painting project along the Waterhouse Trail in the Bethany area, just south of Laidlaw Rd. Upcoming updates in thprd.org/connect/talking-walls

Fall Inclusion Festival, Sept. 19, 5 – 7 pm: Join the Adaptive and Inclusion team for this sensory friendly event; it includes games, food and more. This is a FREE event, held at the Elsie Stuhr Center.

Lap N’ Cap Challenge Fall Term: Aug. 31 – Dec. 27 Celebrate THPRD’s 70th Anniversary by swimming 70 laps at any THPRD swim center and earn a limited-edition 70-Year Anniversary swim cap. While supplies last.

Grandparents Day Pool Party: Sun., Sept. 7, 4 – 5 pm Celebrate THPRD 70th year and enjoy Grandparents Day at Aloha Swim Center! All ages welcome! Drop-in Rates Apply.

Expanded Hours at Cedar Hills Rec Center: Starting Sept. 7, the center will be open on Sundays. We will have the weight/cardio room open, preschool & adult classes, drop-in volleyball from 9 am –12 pm, fitness classes, and gymnastics rentals.

Fall Adult Volleyball at the Tualatin Hills Athletic Center: Our adult volleyball leagues are growing and will be starting the Fall season in Sept and concluding in December.

Youth Volleyball League at Tualatin Hills Athletic Center: Our youth volleyball leagues will begin Sept. 15 and run through Nov 8, with a kickoff jamboree on Sept. 20.

Nature Day-Off Camps: When school’s out, nature is in! On most days the Beaverton School District is closed, the Tualatin Hills Nature Center offers full-day nature camps for kids ages 7–13, 8 am – 5 pm.

NEW Drop-in Middle School Teen Time at Cedar Hills Rec Center: Fridays at 4:15 – 6 pm. We have a space for middle schoolers to hang out, make friends, and create memories! We will host a variety of games and activities, including board/card games, Mario Kart, and more!

Indoor Play Park at Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center, September – M/W/F, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm: Indoor play park returns! Families with children up to 6 years of age can gather to interact and develop motor and social skills during indoor play.

Zumba Gold® Certification Course, Sept. 21, 8:30 am – 6 pm: Register at www.zumba.com. Learn the foundation of the Zumba® program and how to adapt it for an active older audience.

Cedar Mill Cider Festival – Sept. 21, 12 – 4 pm –Held at the historic JQAY House, see how the pioneer’s made cider with antique, hand-cranked presses, and sample the results.

NEW-Family Art Studio – Sept 20, 11 am – 1 pm: Monthly family art workshops, painting, crafts and more at Garden Home Rec Center. Ages 7 – adult.

Harvest Park Grand Opening – Sept. 25, 5:30 – 7 pm. Join Park district staff as we celebrate the opening of one of our newest park sites.
