June is PRIDE Month, and THPRD is excited for the lineup of events happening this month. Join us as we come together to honor and support the LGBTQ+ community, creating a safe and welcoming space for all individuals to express themselves authentically.

THPRD’s annual summer kick-off concert & event returns on Thursday, June 20, from 6-8 pm at Mt. View Champions Park. Not only do we have great live music featuring Dancehall Days – an all genres cover and dance band, but there will also be plenty of activities for the kids!


THPRD Rec Mobile: kids can bounce around in the fun jump, and get their face painted. THPRD Nature Mobile will host interactive educational displays and other activities.

The Beaverton Safe Routes to School will host a Bike Rodeo, featuring a bike skills course, free helmets and fittings, free bike tune-ups, prizes and refreshments!


THRPD outdoor pools are opening! Somerset West and Raleigh Swim Centers will open June 17.


Ridgewood Park Dog Run – THPRD is excited to announce the opening of the dog run at Ridgewood View Park! Bring your furry friends out for a game of fetch and let them roam freely in our newly fenced dog run.


La Raíz Park Opens – THPRD is excited to announce the opening of La Raiz Park. Construction is finished and the park was opened to the public on May 6. Street parking is available along Lombard Avenue as well as a TriMet bus stop. Shelter rentals will be made available starting in July with a grand opening scheduled for the evening of July 18!



  • RISE Youth Leaders, who assist in a leadership capacity with district events, classes and summer camps. Youth interested must be 13 or older and able to attend a virtual training session, which is 1.5 hours in length.
  • Junior Lifeguards, who volunteer to assist lifeguards during open swim and swimming classes. Youth interested must be 12 or older and be able to complete a junior lifeguard course (20 – 25 hours of training


Park Maintenance – The outdoor tennis courts, pickleball courts, and basketball hoops are being serviced across the district. Services include court cleaning, replacing worn out nets, blowing debris from the courts weekly during the high use season.
