Welcoming 2026: building what matters, together

As we welcome 2026, Elevate Homes NW enters the new year energized by reflection, gratitude, and momentum. Over the past year, our work reaffirmed a core belief: when housing is developed with intention, collaboration, and care, it becomes a foundation for stability, dignity, and long-term community impact.

Throughout 2025, Elevate Homes NW partnered with mission-driven nonprofit organizations navigating housing acquisition and development for the first time. While many nonprofits are deeply committed to addressing housing insecurity, they often face complex challenges related to real estate, financing, zoning, and regulatory compliance. Serving as an owner’s representative and development partner, Elevate Homes NW helped bridge these gaps—transforming vision into executable, sustainable housing projects while keeping each organization’s mission at the center of every decision.

Mortensen House Pilot Program: Two defining collaborations emerged from this work. The Mortensen House Pilot Program, developed in partnership with Oregon Spinal Cord Injury Connection (OSCI), is a first-of-its-kind accessible and affordable housing model for individuals living with spinal cord injuries. Modest House Foundation: Equally impactful is our collaboration with Modest House Foundation, which provides shared transitional housing, wraparound services, and community support for young adults aging out of foster care, individuals in recovery, and survivors of domestic abuse and trafficking. With five beds currently operating in Portland and plans to expand across Oregon and Southwest Washington, Modest House Foundation is addressing critical housing gaps for vulnerable populations: www.modesthousefoundation.org

Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year. Elevate Homes NW has three ground-up affordable housing developments advancing through early stages, each grounded in thoughtful design, responsible capital structures, and long-term community benefit. We are also supporting fundraising and planning efforts for a major homeless capital project in Southwestern Oregon, along with several additional impact-driven initiatives across the region.
