ZooNights celebrates summer, Enjoy music, food, fun
An Oregon Zoo summertime favorite is back! ZooNights takes place Friday evenings through Aug. 21, with live local music, food carts, animal encounters and activities for all ages.
“ZooNights is the perfect way to celebrate summer with the whole family,” said Jamie Inglis, the zoo’s events director. “Enjoy an after-hours zoo experience and visit all the animals, plus enjoy live entertainment on the main stage, additional performers, keeper chats and more.”
This year’s ZooNights features performances by a variety of musical acts, including Ural Thomas & the Pain, the Garcia Birthday Band, Jujuba and many more. Live music on the lawn starts at 6:30 p.m. and activities begin at 5 p.m.
The July/August lineup of performers includes:
- July 3: Roll On
- July 10: Satin Love Orchestra
- July 17: Norman Sylvester
- July 24: Ural Thomas & the Pain
- July 31: Hit Machine
- 7: Garcia Birthday Band
- 14: Taken by the Sky
- 21: Jujuba
Food and snacks will be available, including the ever-popular elephant ears, plus a selection of local beer and wine for adults.
ZooNights is a special event and is not included with regular daytime admission. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Save 10% when you purchase four or more tickets (cannot be combined with zoo member discount).
