Free Parking Available in Downtown Beaverton
Did you know there’s free parking available right in the heart of downtown Beaverton? Located at Southwest 3rd Street and Southwest Washington Avenue, this convenient surface lot offers 115 free public parking spaces just steps away from some of the city’s most popular destinations.
The lot sits next to Beaverton City Park and directly across Southwest Hall Boulevard from the Beaverton City Library. It is an ideal spot for quick errands, local shopping, or a relaxing visit to the park. Recent improvements, such as upgraded lighting, refreshed sidewalks, and clearer signage, make it easier than ever to walk from this lot to downtown destinations.
Visitors should note that the lot is closed on Saturdays during portions of the year to make space for the Beaverton Farmers Market. If you are heading downtown, it is helpful to check ahead and plan accordingly.

Looking Back on Our Spring and Summer Highlights
Beaverton’s spring and early summer season brought residents together through a dynamic mix of city-led activities focused on connection, learning, and creativity. In May, the season opened with Bike Beaverton, an easygoing community ride that encouraged families to explore the neighborhood on wheels and enjoy a relaxed afternoon at City Park. Early June brought the Volunteer Fair to the Beaverton Library Main, where community members discovered new ways to get involved. Later in July, the Community Impact Expo highlighted local homelessness services and inspired residents to support meaningful efforts across the city.
Cultural programming also added depth to the season. In July, Ten Tiny Dances offered a memorable evening at The Round, where attendees experienced inventive performances that transformed small spaces into vibrant moments of movement and storytelling.
City-Supported Events That Enriched the Season
Beyond the city-led programs, partner events added warmth, color, and personality throughout May, June, and July. The Kids Market returned several times across the season at City Park, bringing familiar excitement as young makers filled the space with creativity and handmade goods.
June featured Martial Arts of the Three Nations, a vivid showcase of discipline and tradition that drew crowds eager to watch skilled performers share cultural practices passed down through generations. Pride Beaverton also lit up June, transforming City Park into a welcoming space filled with joy, inclusivity, and community pride.
Concerts in the Round brought music to The Round throughout June and July, with warm evenings and live performances creating a relaxed setting perfect for neighbors to catch up and enjoy the summer air. The World Cup Watch Party energized June with lively locations full of cheering, suspense, and shared excitement.
And July’s Fourth of July Celebration brought everyone together at Veterans Memorial Park for a familiar mix of music, family activities, and holiday spirit, continuing the summer with a sense of tradition and community connectedness.
